Image-to-3D File Web Application
Personal Project
In GrAIn is a 3D file generation system. It is a web-based application that converts JPG file images into SVG and STL files that are ready-to-use 3D-printable files. It works by allowing the user to upload up to 50 JPGs at once, shows the 3d model, and allows the user to download the SVG or STL file within seconds of the conversion. Future roadmap will allow user to make modifications to the design within the app and expands the pipeline to embroidery, beading, and crochet patterns, creating a one-stop hub for makers and creatives. The project is currently under development. My role consists of being the developer and product designer. This scope ranges from concept to MVP.
Impact: This project bridges accessibility in digital fabrication, instead of learning complex CAD software, anyone can describe what they want and generate optimized, production-ready files. It lowers the barrier to entry and saves time for hobbyists, educators, and small businesses who want to quickly prototype designs.
